The clay dolls from the town of Kunoor in the district of North Dinajpur are locally called the Shoshthi Dolls, and are one of a kind. These red, fired clay dolls are made from terracotta and mostly depict human figures. Inspired from the day-to-day life of the artisans, and the surroundings, one of the figurines represents a mother carrying the son in her lap and others are local human characters.
