Supriyo Mitra is presently a sub-editor and journalist in a Bengali Newspaper 'Sangbad Pratidin'. He studied Masters in Chemistry, but found a greater sense of belonging in arts and culture. Being an avid learner of philosophy of life, he is continuously in search of the meaning of inner-self through science, arts and literature.

 He finds more life in street photography. The continuous fleeting frames and actions of people on the streets fascinate him profoundly. Shadows, chiaroscuro and loneliness of people and birds have been accounting vision signatures in his photography. However, he never accounts himself as a photographer, rather a 'photowalker'. To him, photography is more like a visual diary. Witnessing everyday struggles closely from a distance and capturing them is his photography-art belief.
